From the outside, having all of your healthcare service providers working together seems like how the system should operate, but it doesn’t.

For several years, KidsInclusive has been piloting a Coordinated Service Planning approach that brings together all of the services providers for a child around the same table. The child and the family set the goals, and the providers work together to achieve those goals.

For any organization, change can be hard, but for KidsInclusive, they were finding a challenge in getting all of the different service providers to come around the same table.

We needed to craft a film to encourage new service providers to come on board.

After an in-depth character research project, we found Andrea’s story. Andrea shared with us the amount of work it took to coordinate all of Helen’s appointments, and how it often felt like she was just surviving. Coordinated Service Planning didn’t only make her life easier, but Helen has achieved every goal she’s set so far. And they weren’t easy goals.
