Water First - Paige

Paige follows the story of Paige Manitowabi, a Water Walker from Manitoulin Island.

Paige learned Traditional Knowledge and teachings from her mother and coupled this with training in western science. Since graduating from the Water First Drinking Water Internship, she has used this knowledge to inspire Indigenous youth to be water protectors.

The goal of the film was to help Water First better communicate the impact of their work. In sharing Paige’s story, they hope to increase the reach of their work, continuing down the path of water education in Indigenous communities across the country.

We donated this film as part of our 1% for the Planet commitment, donating at least 1% of our total revenue each year to environmental non-profits. Since 2020 Water First has been our partner, and this is the first film we've created together.
