The Brake Room

Origin Story

Coffee. Cycling. Two things you wouldn’t necessarily put together. But The Brake Room created something completely new in Belleville, Ontario.

What started out as a bike shop with a coffee shop in the front, quickly grew into a thriving community hub.

It was a story that the owner Adam told every day, but the coffee drinkers didn’t really know and the cyclists just saw it as a convenience.

We worked closely with Adam and his team to find the underlying meaning of the space. How it wasn’t just about helping people find the perfect bike or making the perfect cup of coffee. It was a story about the depth of the people, space, and the community that The Brake Room helped create which makes it an important part of the community.

“It’s daunting to hand your brand image over to another team. I need to feel like they understand us, and see our brand for it’s unique traits. Untold took time to observe our process and paid attention to the details that makes our brand magic. From storyline to the final release, I knew my brand was in good hands.”
